what a week!

|
the team from first pres was awesome. we had such a great time with them!! we were in Kumasi most of the week...playing with the neighborhood kids, exploring the neighborhood, visiting an orphanage, helping finish a house for an orphan, taking the Bible Club kids to the zoo...it was great. pretty much anytime the team was at the house, there were kids there to play with them. they played lots of soccer...the white boys got whipped every time. and the kids taught them some new games...shaky shaky!

here are just a few reasons why this team was incredible:
1. they are hilarious. i laughed a lot. a whole lot.
2. they were so willing to do anything...play with the kids, prayer walk, make mortar, whatever!
3. they never complained. even after they had been traveling for 48 hours and we put them on a bus for another 5 hours, then arrived to a house full of kids and no electricity for the whole night. and no complaints. seriously? amazing.
4. they loved learning about Ghanaian culture. they wanted to learn, see and do whatever they could. the girls tried to carry stuff on their head and wrapped a baby on their backs. they tried to speak twi to folks! and when they weren't speaking twi, they were working on their Ghanaian english...slightly british, slightly pigeon, very funny.
5. they loved those kids! they played with them for hours upon hours.

so thanks for your prayers!!!! they were fully answered. every detail was taken care of by our Lord!! every request that i wrote in the previous blog was answered! He went before us at every step and i'm so grateful to Him! He also did some pretty cool stuff in the hearts of the team members. i loved hearing them talk about trusting God with their future...some even said they could see themselves in missions after this week. praise the Lord! i love how He gently shapes and molds us into the person He created us to be. and i got to watch as some of that happened this week. incredible.

now its back to the real world.
